Counterclaim

This service may be used instead of or alongside a standard response, depending on the circumstances. For example, in child residence disputes, all objections to the original claim may be incorporated into a counterclaim rather than a separate response.

However, in cases where filing a counterclaim is appropriate, filing it without subsequent case management is unreliable and may not on its own achieve the desired result.

Filing a counterclaim without ongoing case management is sufficient only when the opposing party fails to provide an adequate response and the judge has no further questions regarding the claim.
